Tealightful Treasures® came into my life a little over a year ago while I was searching the internet about tea. I wasn't a huge tea drinker then but I like the taste of it, but that is not what attracted me to the company. My eyes appear as small slits as I groggily walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. I am on automatic pilot as I fill the tea kettle and anxiously wait to hear the reassuring sound of the kettle whistling its own song and beckoning to me. I am the 'former' owner of an Antique/Gift Shop/Tea Room in Southern California. My Kathlean's Yellow House was a wonderful little place to have tea ... for two ... or up to twenty-five guests. We served traditional afternoon tea with lots of wonderful foods and quality teas from around the world. We also sold loose tea and all the accouterments. And, of course ... rooms of vintage and antique items. It was truly a lovely place/experience ... and I do miss it.

Last year I married a man who has THREE teenaged sons ... living with him full time. Along with my last boy at home who is 12, that makes FOUR (count them, FOUR) teenaged sons at home. We felt strongly that it was important for Mom to be home with them ... and so it was no longer possible for me to run my business away from home. Since the closure of my Yellow House, I have been missing my customers and my tea business.

So, I am very excited to have discovered Tealightful Treasures®! What a blessing to associate with a company that has such high values and a strong mission statement. I've loved tea for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I longed for the perfect porcelain miniature tea set. When I was in my early teens, I had the privilege of being invited to a High Tea at the home of a British family that had recently moved to the neighborhood. Sweets and savories and teas, oh my! I loved everything about it. The fine china, the scrumptious food and the company of good friends. I have been throwing tea parties of my own ever since. Tea is not just for parties though; my husband and I sit down in the evening with a cup of herbal tea to relax and connect after a long day. He has often joked that my dream job would be the hostess of a tea room. That dream job has become a reality with Tealightful Treasures®. I have been married for nearly 20 years and have taught high school math for 16 of those years. Our children consist of a 10 year old Bichon Frise, a 5 year old Jack Russell and a 1 year old Beagle. Our Jack Russell suffers from separation anxiety when left for long periods of time, so I recently resigned from teaching to work from home and be able to spend more time with my "children", although I didn't really know what type of work from home career I was going to pursue.

One day I saw a post on one of my forums about Tealightful Treasures®, so I checked out the website. WOW!!! I was so impressed with these products, so I placed an order for some tea samples and scones. My husband and I have never tried loose teas before, so this tea proved to be a real treat...and the scones are FABULOUS!

The Tea Party concept intrigues me. I'm looking forward to sharing these great teas, scones and accessories with women in my area... and being the first Tealightful Treasures® consultant in my state and developing my own team is a wonderful opportunity!

I’ve been a part of the Tealightful Treasures® family since January 2008 but the path that led me here began several months earlier. Many years and a lifetime ago, I was involved in Direct Sales and I decided to revisit the idea after spending far too long looking for a “regular” job without success. I began by looking for a company that offered something new and different, that had a “history” and opportunity for team development, and where the “personal touch” was still important. Tealightful Treasures® seemed to fit the bill, especially when the company’s founder personally responded to my request for information!

Unlike many of our consultants, I was never a big tea drinker before joining the TT family. What little tea I did drink was instant or in teabags. Boy, has that changed – I never realized how much difference using a loose-leaf tea could make in the taste!! I now start my day with a black or green tea (depending on how much oomph I need to get going) and end it with an herbal infusion with at least a couple of cups in between. However, in the interest of full-disclosure, I must confess that I do resort to coffee when we have to get up before the sun heading to a dog event (we raise, train, show, and track bloodhounds). So far I haven’t found a tea that has enough go-juice to overcome that insult to my psyche!

I don’t know if I’ll be able to convert my husband from coffee to tea but there is hope for my son! He’s the one who introduced me to green tea a couple of years ago (they learn so many interesting things in college!) so I’ll return the favor by introducing him to loose-leaf teas while he’s home this summer.

While searching the Direct Sales Women's Association web site, I found Tealightful Treasures™, a company with a name that was captivating. Once I explored the web site and talked with Charlene Phillips, founder and CEO, I decided that this company was a perfect match for me. As a retired nutrition/food safety educator I have a special interest in nutritious food and beverages that are easy to prepare and can help us be healthy. Much current research shows that tea has many health benefits.

I have found that taking the time for an afternoon tea break is a great way to relax and relieve stress while at the same time it clears the mind and helps me stay alert. I've always enjoyed visiting a fancy tea room. Now, with Tealightful Treasures™, I can have the pleasure of doing that every time I do a tea party with a hostess. Like many others, I started this adventure because of my love for tea. After exhaustive research on opening a commercial "Tea House," I realized doing so would compromise time with my family that is very important to me. I started to look in new directions.

I know the "Direct Sales" model works and thought I would try to go that route, but I had not heard of tea products being sold this way. I started doing my homework. I went to the Direct Sellers Association and the Direct Selling Women's Alliance; I just typed in tea, and found the same company with an adorable name Tealightful Treasures™.

From the first time I dialed into a conference call, I felt like a part of the Family. Florida is a relatively new territory for Tealightful Treasures™, so I had not been to a Tealightful Treasures™ party before my Grand Opening. The invitation to my Grand Opening Tea party was eagerly accepted. When my friends learned that we would be tasting fine teas & hot scones while shopping in the comfort of home, they were truly excited to attend my party! My Tealightful Treasures™ business allows me the opportunity to share the wonderful world of tea while earning money, making friends and sipping tea. Who could ask for more?

I began drinking tea when I was just a little girl. Visits to Grandma Ruth's were not complete without a cup of her "mimi" tea served in her special glass cups. Time spent at Grandma's table drinking her concoction of a little tea, a lot of milk and of course sugar to sweeten is something that to this day I have fond memories of. My mother Dolly continues the tradition by always offering a cup of tea the minute I walk through her door.

My love of tea has grown over the years and has my little house bursting at the seams with my collection of teapots, cups and saucers, and accessories. Continuing the family tradition, I love pampering friends who drop in for tea.

I have been with Tealightful Treasures™ since August 2006 and have enjoyed every moment of this journey! Greetings! My name is Sherry Madison and I am from Kent, New York. My love for tea and everything associated with it comes from two very special people - my dear grandmother Ruth and my sweet sister Terry.

Like many of you, the memories my sister and I have of growing up have to do with spending time with cousins. Whenever we would go to visit my cousins, my grandmother Ruth would be there also. She was the first person we stopped in to see. We would no sooner open the door to be showered with her hugs and kisses and then she would head to the kitchen to start the kettle for a pot of tea.

My sister, Terry lives quite a distance from me, so we very often have to do our catching up on the telephone. I will give her a buzz and she will say "Let me make a pot of tea and I will call you right back." Terry is a tea connoisseur. It is she who once told me with a vengeance "Noooooo, you cannot drink coffee out of my tea cups!"

A simple thing like sharing a pot of tea can make a person feel so special! The times I spend with my sister on the phone, over a pot of tea, are my most treasured times.

I have tried a lot of home-based businesses. But never seemed to find the right one for me. One day I was reading my Family Circle magazine and I came across an article featuring Tealightful Treasures®. I have been looking for something to do when I hopefully retire early from my current job of almost 22 years. My first thought was opening a small shop in my home town of Sumner, Iowa,. such as a antique shop or maybe a tea room. Now I feel I have my own tea room on wheels, without the expense of buying a building and supplies to get it started. I have liked tea for some time now, but since I have found Tealightful Treasures® I now love tea and I am trying to share my passion for tea with everyone I know and meet. I have a wonderful husband of 1 year that is the best support team I could ever ask for. Between the 2 of us we have 6 wonderful children and 2 grandkids so far.

Hello! My name is Lynne Porter and I am from Trumansburg, NY. Home of Taughannock Falls, the tallest water falls east of the Mississippi. I’d never been much of a tea drinker, not liking it very much and instead drinking over a pot of coffee at work a day and suffering from caffeine withdrawal headaches on the weekend. Until my younger sister introduced me to Tealightful Treasures® Tea! I realize now that I never really knew Tea. Now I drink Tea daily and love it!

Being the mother of two teenagers and working full time for the local school district can make for some very hectic days. My quest for finding Tealightful Treasures® started about 3 years ago. My husband and I were trying to start a family and after many failed invitro-fertilazation attempts, we were expecting. I was working in a stressful corporate environment, but trying very hard to come up with a plan so that I could stay home with my baby. At the time, it didn't seem possible. Three months into my pregnancy, my company was closing its doors, a competitor take-over. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We were compensated fairly, and I was able to be with my son. Hooray!

Because of circumstances, we quickly tried again to add to our family. Knowing the road ahead of us, I needed to keep searching for a way to continue raising my son, at home with me. In the midst of fertility treatments, again, I read an article in "Parents" magazine about this innovative company that may be my ticket to working from home.
